Work packages in the SOTIPA project

SOTIPA is organised in 12 work packages:

• WP 1 Acquiring and systematising current panel test procedures
• WP 2 Conducting the panel tests and collecting important production parameter
• WP 3 Analysing the parameters governing the human perception of softness
• WP 4 Creating and developing a uniform panel test
• WP 5 Designing an evaluation system for softness based on metrologically ascertainable parameters
• WP 6 Metrological evaluation of the panel test products
• WP 7 Designing and formulating a standardised procedure for assessing tissue softness
• WP 8 Validation of the test method on the basis of Round Robin tests for handkerchief paper
• WP 9 Studies as to whether the test method can be scaled up to other tissue products
• WP 10 Studies of selected contributing factors in tissue production on softness
• WP 11 Studies of selected contributing factors in converting on the softness of the final product
• WP 12 Dissemination of the results and the procedure
